I was lucky enough to go to a private collection launch for a local Pittsburgh brand I'd just found out about, called Stocking Noir. They partnered with artist James Gyre of Naked Geometry (he focuses his art around geometric patterning). The review (cowritten by a friend I roped into coming with me) is being posted on Friday, but I did want to say that I greatly enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the venue, and the vibe the collection gave off was really refreshing after a long, hard day of procrastination. Not to mention, the event was catered by the budding cupcake company Yummyholic, started by Jasmine Cho, and Sipp, a USDA-approved organic sparkling soda brand. All in all, it was a fun and delicious experience.
