Happy Belated Easter! Hopefully the bunny ears and bright lips are a tip-off, but I tried really heard to put together a super sweet, bubbly, brightly colored ensemble (as is appropriate for Easter). However, I seem to have gravitated towards a more monochromic and detail-heavy look. On the bright side, I finally got to debut this mesh hoodie that I snagged on sale a couple weeks back. It's a definite spring/summer staple that adds a sportier, more airy edge to an outfit.

In keeping with the sporty theme, knee-high socks, matching shoes, and a bomber are pretty standard. The jacket is a precaution for the nippier spring evenings in case the socks couldn't keep the warmth in. I love the socks to bits, as I saw them a few days ago on eBay and thought they were too charming not to have for myself. The skirt and shoes are two of my most treasured closet possessions, mostly because they were two of the first things I saved up to buy when I was entering my "alternative fashion" phase a little over a year ago.

I didn't really think accessories or a lot of makeup were necessary to enhance this outfit (I mean, sure, a clutch the color of my lips might've helped out, but I don't live a lifestyle in which clutches are convenient to have) because of the hardware on the skirt and the level of detail on the bunny ears and hoodie, so I left this ensemble as simple as I could.
